West End Star Goes Back to Marling

Tim, who plays Francois in the hit West End musical ‘&Juliet’, dropped in to talk to students about his exciting journey from school to stage and to offer them advice about how to navigate the challenging world of musical theatre.

Asked about his tips for getting ahead, Tim said:

‘There are lots of routes to success, but I’d say get involved in Youth Theatre and workshops and make the most of any industry contacts you make as you never know what they might lead to.’

Speaking about his time at Marling, Tim said:

‘Every teacher at Marling was so unbelievably supportive and they continue to support me.’

A Level Drama student Imogen Grover was really excited to meet Tim.  She said:

‘I love Tim’s work and am inspired by his story. My ambition is to go to drama school and work in the West End.’

After leaving Marling in 2014 Tim studied at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, before embarking on his stage career.
